The very first step is to open the website through the link https://www.incometax.gov.in/. It will take you to the home page of the income tax e-filing portal 2.0 whereby all other facilities can be accessed.

Firstly, you must register or log in on the new portal. You can find the register option on the right corner at the topmost of the website. Click on that and register yourself by filing the details shown in the picture below. If you are already registered user then you can login to the portal through the USER Id and PASSWORD, login option is also available at the top right corner.
After login, you can use any of the services offered by it such as –
- E-file – With this option, you can avail multiple service like you can fill ITR forms, file Income Tax Returns and can also e-pay tax.
- Authorised Partner Tab-This tab permits you to inspect your e-return intermediary or Chartered Accountant.
- Our Services- Next, the user can avail the services listed under the Our Services column which can only be accesses after login such as rectification, reissue or refund and so on.
4. Pending Action Menu-You can also check the pending action through this pending action menu. Through this, you will get to know if any unfinished proceeding exists or not.
5. Grievance Menu- This menu helps you to resolve your queries at an unmatchable speed.
