Record GST Collection in April 2021

The Ministry of Finance has informed that Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections for April 2021 has set a new record.

The gross GST revenue collections in the month of April 2021 are Rs 1,41,384 crore. It is recorded as the highest since the introduction of GST.

Out of revenue collected in the said month, Rs 27,837 crore is CGST, Rs 35,621 crore is SGST and Rs 68,481 crore is IGST, it includes Rs 29,599 crore collected on imported goods. Whereas, cess is Rs 9,445 crore, including Rs 981 crore collected on import of goods.

Further, during this month the government has settled Rs 29,185 crore to CGST and Rs 22,756 crore to SGST from IGST as regular settlement. After the settlement the total revenue in April 2021 is 57,022 crore for CGST and Rs 58,377 crore for SGST.
