RBI Joins Network for Green Financial System

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced that it has joined the Central Banks and Supervisors Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS) as a member.

NGFS launched in 2017, is a group of central banks and supervisors to share best practises and contribute to the environmental climate risk management in the financial sector.

Further, it also mobilizes mainstream finance support to the transition towards a sustainable economy.

The RBI expects to benefit by learning and contribute to global efforts on Green Finance in the context of climate change.
