Ministry of Corporate Affairs has informed that it has extended the last date of filing of Cost Audit Report (CAR) to the Board of Directors (BOD).
MCA has issued a circular on 27th September, 2021 stating, taking into consideration various representation from stake holders regarding extension of last date of the CAR due to the hurdles caused by the Covid Pandemic, it has been decided that the CAR for the Financial Year (FY) 2020-21 by the cost auditor to the BOD of the company may be submitted by 31st October, 2021.
Accordingly, the CAR for FY ended on 31st March 2021 may be filed in e-form CRA-4 within 30 days from the date of receipt of the copy of CAR by the company.
However, in case a company has got extension of time for holding Annual General Meeting (AGM) then, e-form CRA-4 may be filed within the timeline provided under the proviso to rule 6(6) of the companies (Cost Records and Audit) Rule, 2014.
