India’s exports in June 2021 are estimated to be USD 49.85 Billion, representing a positive growth of 31.87 per cent over the same period last year which was USD 37.80 billion.
Out of overall export, Merchandise export is of USD 32.50 billion in June 2021, which is 48.34 percent higher as compared to USD 21.91 billion in June 2020. Whereas Service export amounts to USD 17.35 billion showing a growth of 9.16 percent as against USD 15.89 billion in the same period last year.
Further, overall imports in June 2021 are estimated to be USD 52.18 Billion, representing a positive growth of 73.65 per cent over the same period last year as against USD 30.05 billion.
Out of overall import, Merchandise import in June 2021 amounts to USD 41.87 billion, representing a growth of 98.31 percent as compared to USD 21.11 billion in June 2020. While, Service import amounts to USD 10.31 billion showing growth of 15.38 percent as compared to USD 8.94 billion in the same period last year.
However, the latest data for services sector released by RBI is for May 2021. The data for June 2021 is an estimation, which will be revised based on RBI’s subsequent release. Data for 2020 are revised on pro-rata basis using quarterly balance of payments data.
