Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) Registration
FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) is a self governing body accepted under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
The FSSAI is established under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, which is a Combined Act related to food safety and regulation in India. FSSAI is responsible for protecting and promoting the health of the public through the regulation and supervision of food safety and offers food licenses to all food business operators (FBO).
All the food businesses in India are mandatorily required to get 14 digit food license number and display the same in their premises and on products as well in case of packed items.

Annual Turnover up to Rs. 12 lakh
State FSSAI License
Annual Turnover between Rs.12 lakh – Rs. 20 Crore
Central FSSAI License
Annual Turnover above Rs.20 crore

If any Food Business Operator (FBO) or importer fails to comply with the requirements under the Act is liable for penalty which may extend to 2 Lakh Rupees.
