The Employee Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has published provisional data, showing that EPFO has added around 14.12 lakh net subscribers during February 2022.
February 2022 has registered an increase of 31,826 net subscriber’s addition as compared to the previous month of January, 2022. There is consistent increase in the net subscriber addition since October, 2021
Out of the 14.12 lakh net subscribers, around 8.41 lakh new members have come into the social security coverage of EPFO for the first time. Around 5.71 lakh net subscribers exited and then re-joined EPFO by changing their jobs within the establishments covered by EPFO and choose to retain membership through transfer of funds rather than opting for final settlement.
Earlier, January 2021 had registered an increase of 15.29 lakh net subscribers addition.
